There is free parking on the street, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. No car? No problem. You’ll be able to hop a bus every 30 minutes to the nearby towns of Marbella and Fuengirola. We haven’t talked about the nearby, beautiful beach. Stroll along the boardwalk which runs the length of the beach, or pick a spot to rest and relax. Or to go swimming! After a day of enjoyment in this charming town, return to your apartment for a good night’s rest.

Due to its amazing location, Riviera del Sol offers easy access to Marbella, Fuengirola and Cabopino. The town is a popular residential part of Mijas Costa featuring an array of bars and restaurants as well as lovely golf courses. Due to its small size, Riviera del Sol’s tree lined streets can be easily explored on foot. This peaceful and attractive area has lots of things to offer but lacks the appeal of many of its bigger neighbors. Just as Marbella is renowned for being a golfer’s paradise, Riveira del Sol features prominent golfing facilities.
Things to do
For golfers, Miraflores golf course located in the heart of the district is an incredible place to be. Cabopino and Calahonda golf courses are few minutes’ drive away. Riviera del Sol also offers several beautiful beaches where tourists can sunbath or indulge in several water sport activities including windsurfing, jet skiing and sailing. There are great tennis facilities here as well. Riviera del Sol also caters to the needs of families with nearby family attractions including Funny Beach in the heart of Marbella and Mijas water park, a sea life centre in Benalmadena for people of all ages.
Festival lovers are also not left out. During July, visitors can participate in festival of La Virgen de Carmen which takes place in Marbella, Benalmadena and Estepona. The town also caters to the need of shopaholics as there are lots of great shopping centers here. One of the best shopping spots is the Riviera Plaza, a commercial centre with lots of shops and stores selling items such as toy sunglasses, confectionery, clothing, bag, perfume and souvenirs. Another place for shopping is the Las Terrazas complex which also has lots of shops and stores.
